Een stand-alone toegangscontroleapparaat is een combinatie van een controller en een lezer in één apparaat: kan gebruikers identificeren, beslissen of ze al dan niet toegang hebben tot de installatie en het elektronische slot via zijn relais bedienen.
Deze apparatuur maakt identificatie mogelijk via kaarten of sleutelhangers met MF 13.56 MHz en MF DESFire 13.56 MHz-technologie, QR-codelezen en een toetsenbord voor numerieke codes.

Dankzij de buitenklasse IP65 kan deze buiten worden geïnstalleerd. Daarnaast is de IK09 anti-vandalisme classificatie bestand tegen meer uitdagende omgevingen.
Vanuit de software iVMS-4200 kunnen gebruikers, roosters en toegangsgroepen worden geconfigureerd, evenals speciale functies, openingstijden van relais of leestijden van lezers.
